The Hon. Julia Gillard AC was the 27th Prime Minister of Australia in office between 2010 and 2013. Amongst her numerous achievements, Ms. Gillard is Australia’s first woman Prime Minister.
Between 2007 and 2010, Ms. Gillard served as Deputy Prime Minister. Her Ministerial appointments also included Minister for Education, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, and Minister for Social Inclusion.
In recognition of her lifetime support of Australian Jewry and the State of Israel, she was in 2013 awarded the Jerusalem Prize by the World Zionist Organisation.
